Since I last posted about this room, we have added a few extra pieces of decor and furniture - the main piece of furniture that has transformed this room into a restful and cosy place is the Baby Grey nursing rocker.
At the moment, I use it when I want five minutes peace and quiet whilst feeding Freya, but I can imagine I will use it even more when she moves into this room, for the night feeds and first morning feed of the day.
The are a few designs available at Baby Grey, in a variety of colours and fabrics, the newest addition being a gorgeous modern/Scandinavian style rocker. Ours is the "Bertie" rocker and I adore it's Chesterfield-style details.
See more about Baby Grey here.
The stuffed bear head is from Ella And The Roo and it's such a sweet addition. Alfred has a fawn version in his room too. The raindrop garland is from Velveteen Babies and adds some warmth to the room. I love collecting lots of special, handmade items, that I know we will all treasure for years to come.
There is currently a big ottoman next to the cot, for even more storage (you may have guessed that our house isn't very big and storage is at a premium). It will probably be moved out of here when Freya starts using the room and becomes more mobile, but for now, it is very much needed here.
So, there you go! I had a lot of fun doing this room and no doubt I will get the urge to redo it again next year (don't kill me Dan).
