Over the years, I have experimented with many different products and styles, with varying degrees of success. (Over plucked eyebrows anyone?!)
I would love to start a new series on here, where I will be talking about different aspects of my beauty routine, covering all topics, from my top concealer products, to how I cleanse my skin, morning and nightly routines, exercise, hair tips and how eating and drinking the right things can help your complexion too.
I would also love to have contributors for this series every now and then. If you are interested in contributing in some way, I would love to hear from you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you with more details.
It's a genetic thing, I have always had bad black rings under my eyes. When I have even one hour too little sleep, they appear with a vengeance. So you can imagine, that with having a baby, I go to this product more than ever.
Over the years, I have tried so many different kinds and brands. I have found that for the coverage I need, most of them end up looking cakey and flakey on my skin. Plus the tones were either too orange or too white for my natural skin colour.
In a concealer, I tend to look for ones that are a little sticky, as I find they smooth out well, without thinning out to much as you blend. I have found that I prefer ones that come in a pot, compared to ones that are in tubes or sticks. Their consistency seems to be different.
About five years ago, I found my ultimate concealer - Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer. It is absolutely amazing, you get so much coverage with only a little bit from the pot. It has been my go to one ever since.
The coverage is decent, but maybe a little thinner than the Bobbi Brown one. I love it a lot though and it feels better knowing that it is mineral make up and a bit better for your skin.
