Last year, I discovered a wonderful shoe brand called Po-Zu. When I first laid eyes on these red lace boots, it was pretty much love at first sight.
They look amazing with everything in my wardrobe, they are extremely comfy (thanks to their fabulous foot mattress, which is 60% coconut husk) and they are also eco friendly.
The name Po-Zu, comes the the Japanese phrase meaning to pause. This is what their aim is for your feet, giving your feet a rest from the pace of a busy life and protecting them from the damage that modern shoes can cause.
All of their shoes are handmade in a small ethical factory in Portugal (one of the greenest countries in Europe). The shoe materials come from naturally renewable resources, such as cork, coir, natural latex, chrome free leather and wool.
Another fun detail, is that you can keep the leather on your shoes maintained with their Edible Shoe Cream. It's edible! EDIBLE! Sorry, got a bit excited there.
All of their shoes come with a 12 month guarantee, so if there is a defect that becomes apparent, you can contact Po-Zu and they will repair, replace or give you a store credit towards another pair.
Po-Zu also donate a minimum of 3% of their sales to environmental charities. How's that for guilt free shopping?!
All in all, they are an amazing shoe brand. I wear my pair all of the time, they are very practical for everyday use, but they also look fantastic.
They are paving the way for eco-friendly clothing, that also looks up-to-date and stylish. It's fashion with a conscience.
