This is the first post in my new monthly edit series. It's also my first shoot since having another baby! I am getting used to my new, curvier shape and how to dress for it... I am also getting used to doing shoots solo again, without a bump/baby/toddler/pram to hold. Thank goodness I had the big bag, I wouldn't have known what to do with my hands otherwise!
It was absolutely freezing the day we took these photos! I may have been a bit optimistic about the weather. It was lovely to get out in the (very) bracing sea air though. My baby and toddler were just out of shot in every photo - it created quite an exciting work atmosphere, with the toddler running off and causing havoc every time my back was turned. Ahhh the realities of working from home with small children. (Thank you to my mum for being a much needed extra pair of hands).
I am so happy that wide leg trousers are still a thing this season. Especially high waisted ones. They are so flattering, especially for curvier shapes. These trousers nip in at my waist and then the lovely corduroy fabric just sort of flows down my legs. I think I will be living in them till Summer!
The bag is actually a changing bag, although you would never know it. It's so nice and grown up, I use it even when my children aren't with me. The shoes are from Next and are very cushioned and comfortable. The animal print really livens up any outfit. I'm quite into mixing prints at the moment, so I added the Baukjen spotted jumper to the look, to clash a little with the shoes, with the trousers helping to break it up a bit.
