Last weekend, we took a trip to a nearby town and, dare I say it, it felt positively Spring-like! It was so mild and I was comfortable walking around in just a chunky jumper, with no coat on.
We had a great day visiting the castle and museums, eating street food and checking out the local shops and architecture.
Days like this make me excited for the warmer days to come.
Knit: River Island. Trousers: Lowie. Trainers: Adidas Originals.
Bag: The Cambridge Satchel Company.
I think these might be the best pink cords ever! I absolutely LOVE these trousers. They are nice and loose on the leg and the high waist, with the pleats at the front, is really flattering. They are from a fashion label called Lowie, who make their clothes as ethically as possible, in gorgeous, heritage designs. I love their clothes a lot - I could possibly build up quite a collection from there!
I enjoy combining different textures with my outfits, so I teamed the pink cords with a chunky cream knit from River Island. One of my pet hates is sleeves that are too short, so I love how long these sleeves are. They keep my hands nice and warm, without having to wear gloves. It is a slightly cropped design, so great for wearing with high waisted trousers. The high neck keeps me nice and snug, in the chilly weather.
White trainers literally go with everything, so naturally I wore this pair with the outfit. This particular pair are nice and worn in, so are extremely comfy - perfect for long days walking around town.
The little black cross-body bag is ideal for storing my personal essentials. I managed to squeeze my phone, hairbrush, lip balm, purse, tissues, spare camera batteries and memory cards in it! (Everything else was stored under the pram, because taking two kids out for the day means lots of extra baggage).
Even though I'm a massive fan of winter fashion, the weather on this day out (and this outfit, of course) made me super excited to mix up my wardrobe ready for Spring.
Pink trousers were gifted by Lowie.
