I am so excited to be partnering with one of my absolute favourite brands FatFace, for their #WashedinHappiness campaign, bringing you some of their latest Down To Earth Collection. It is a gorgeous edit, filled with rich, earthy tones, that can take you right into next season.
We went on a brilliant family day out, for "A Day Of Happiness" and I can't wait to tell you about it.

As Dan and I are self employed, we often work at weekends and odd hours. But it also means that we sometimes have days off on a Monday or Friday. This is lovely, as everywhere is quieter on these days and we can more easily get tables at cafes and restaurants and the like.
Our happiest days are ones where we can relax together as a family and be outside, whether it's going for a hike, walking around a local town or going to the park.
On this particular day, it was a Friday and we decided to go for a picnic at our local horticultural gardens.
The shirt, in the photo above, is the Katie Sleeveless Shirt. It's made from a very soft 100% cotton and definitely kept me cool. I can imagine layering it up with dungarees and knits, come the Autumn.
We started off the day slowly, with cups of coffee and tea and playing in the garden. It was so hot already, I could tell the day was going to be a scorcher!
Once Alfred was down for his midday nap, I couldn't wait to fill the hamper that FatFace kindly sent to us. When he woke, we made our way out.
Once we arrived at the gardens, our first priority was food (of course). We found a nice, open spot to sit, where Alfred could roam around freely and we didn't have to worry about him jumping into the lake or getting into other sorts of mischief.
Once we finished our lunch, we played a bit of ping pong (very badly - I blame the wind) and relaxed and chatted. Alfred is at a lovely age, where he is very content at picnics - he can snack when he wants, run about when he wants - perfect! Much nicer for him than his boring highchair at home.
After a bit of lounging about, we went for a walk up the hill. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking and you could see for miles! Alfred loved inspecting the flowers and eating pebbles. He definitely kept Dan and I on our toes.
My outfit, pictured above;
A lot of our photos from the day, look a lot like the ones above. Alfred has mastered the technique for wriggling out of your grasp - he collapses his shoulders and goes all floppy, so you have no choice but to drop him. He is such a little scamp (in the best possible way).
The gorgeous poncho, pictured above, is the Mawgan Poncho. It gives you the perfect extra layer, when the sun starts to set, without covering you too much and making you hot. I love the loose, open sides, which keep it airy.
We made our way into the woodland area and Alfred was desperate to get down and have a look at the leaves on the floor.
We even managed a bit of walking with him. He is a very good walker now, but still likes to crawl, when he wants to get somewhere really fast.
Ah here are my boys! Alfred really looks up to Dan and wants to copy everything that he does. It is very lovely to watch them together,
On the way home, we spotted this purple field. I'm not sure what crop it was, but it was so beautiful that we had to stop and take some pictures.
What's a purple field shot, without a bit of jumping action?
The pretty top, that I am wearing above, is the Naomi Embroidered Cami. I love how light and delicate it is, perfect for warm Summer evenings.
The drive home was slow and relaxing, We were all tired, from a busy day of adventuring, but happy. This is what life is all about and I plan on filling it with more of these adventures.
This was a day of true happiness.
