I know I say it all of the time, but this time of year is my favourite! The crisp air, the silvery dew on the grass in the morning, coats, boots, warm mugs of tea, snuggling under blankets... I could go on.
We try to have these cozy days at home once a week. On these days, we will often cook delicious food, watch some TV shows and movies and have lots of play time with Alfred. My go to clothes on these days are my PJs or joggers, as I want to be warm and comfortable.
However, what ends up happening a lot of the time, is by midday I feel irritable and scruffy in my PJs, as I don't feel ready to answer the door and they look too PJ-ish, if you know what I mean?
When White Stuff reached out to me, to share with you some of their new AW16 lounge wear collection, I jumped at the chance.
I love how the pieces that I have chosen look elegant and smart, but are as comfy as joggers. I definitely wouldn't be embarrassed to answer the door in them!
I am a creature of habit in the mornings. I get Alfred his milk and breakfast, then while he is enjoying it I will make myself a cup of tea and read a magazine, have a chat with Dan, or catch up on my phone.
We will then get dressed and the crazy play time begins, before Alfred goes down for his nap and I have another cup of tea!
I am finding that I love mornings the most these days, I love having my first cup of tea and have the most energy to keep up with Alfred. I especially love Saturday mornings, as Dan is home too.
As a family, we love reading, but I must admit, I don't get a lot of time for it myself these days. On our cozy days at home though, I try to read with Alfred as much a possible. My Grandpa bought Alfred this book about Ernest Shackleton, for when he is older, but I couldn't resist getting it out to have a look with him. The illustrations are so gorgeous and the story is true and absolutely amazing.
It's often not long before Alfred decides he has better things to do, such as jumping on the bed, and he tries to escape from me. I don't know where he gets all of his energy from!
Okay, let's just focus on these slippers for a moment - they are seriously cute. I feel more dressed up when wearing them, compared to other slippers that I have owned in the past... Alfred loves them too, as he is obsessed with the pom poms. I caught him trying to wear them the other day.
The lace details on this top are so pretty! I think the tiny bow is a sweet little touch too.
The Tucked Up Sweater and the Tucked Up Joggers, have a really lovely texture to them. They aren't too lightweight and are nice and warm. They feel very luxurious to wear.
What I love about the whole range is that it ticks all of the right boxes for this time of year - you can be cozy, warm and comfortable, without sacrificing your sense of style, for a relaxed day at home look.
