I know I say it all of the time, but this time of year is my favourite! The crisp air, the silvery dew on the grass in the morning, coats, boots, warm mugs of tea, snuggling under blankets... I could go on.
We try to have these cozy days at home once a week. On these days, we will often cook delicious food, watch some TV shows and movies and have lots of play time with Alfred. My go to clothes on these days are my PJs or joggers, as I want to be warm and comfortable.
However, what ends up happening a lot of the time, is by midday I feel irritable and scruffy in my PJs, as I don't feel ready to answer the door and they look too PJ-ish, if you know what I mean?
When White Stuff reached out to me, to share with you some of their new AW16 lounge wear collection, I jumped at the chance.
I love how the pieces that I have chosen look elegant and smart, but are as comfy as joggers. I definitely wouldn't be embarrassed to answer the door in them!
Growing up, I was often less than enthused about sharing clothes with my sisters. I even had a padlock on my make up (!!). As an adult though, I like the idea more. Maybe because we live in different houses, so the sharing is more controlled haha!
When one of my sisters, Eleanor, bought this skirt from Ted Baker, I fell in love with it. She very kindly let me borrow it for this outfit. Is it just me, or is this seasons Ted Baker just amazing? All of the skirts are so whimsical and dreamy, with lots of candy colours and some more grown up shades, like my sister's skirt.
As the skirt is such a statement, I teamed it with a simple black top and a pair of red heels, from Hobbs. The red lipstick helped balance out the red shoes.
I think it is such a perfect look for the Autumn, when you need something a bit more dressy. I can imagine wearing it with tights and black boots, as the weather gets even colder.
Okay, I don't want to give this skirt back now, do you think Eleanor will notice?...

Life has been going by at an alarming rate recently, the weeks have felt sooooo busy!
Between blogging, being a musician and piano teacher, starting a new art collection (yikes!) and trying to slow down a bit with Alfred and Dan, I have had to work hard to find time to do things for myself.
